Nepal sees 2,619 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 2,619 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 2,486 persons have been tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 133 have been tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 644 persons in Kathmandu, 87 in Lalitpur, and 141 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for the pandemic virus, as of Saturday afternoon.

Meanwhile, 368 persons have returned home after complete health recovery today.

Similarly, the ministry shared that 14 more fatalities were reported in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 3,136.
