Deuba asks PM Oli to step down

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has suggested Prime Minister KP Oli to step down.

He said that PM Oli should either get a majority in the House of Representatives (HoR) or quit as the Supreme Court (SC) has already given its verdict to reinstate the House of Representatives.

“It would be better for PM Oli to leave as he fails to get a majority in parliament,” he said at a program in Kathmandu on Wednesday.

NC President Deuba also said that a meeting of the NC’s parliamentary party would decide the party’s future course of action.

He further added that the HoR should play an effective role now.
