Harka Nembang elected Maoist Center Province 1 chair



KATHMANDU: Harka Nembang alias Mikso has been elected as the chairman of CPN (Maoist Center) Province 1.

Mikso was elected as the chairperson with 169 votes in the election held to elect a new leadership of Pradesh 1 on Wednesday.
His closest rival Muksahang Menyangbo obtained 63 votes. Seven votes had been declared invalid.

Similarly, Mani Kumar Sampang (111), Dewan Chamling (120) and Shiva Kumar Dangi (113) have been elected as vice chairpersons.
Likewise, Ganesh Upreti secured 148 votes to become secretary while his closest rival CP Kadariya got 83 votes.

Kumari Rai (114), Sagar Kirani (73) and Rishi Dhungana (95) have been elected joint secretaries. Rewat Raj Puri has been elected as treasurer.

As many as 29 candidates had been in the fray for nine posts of office-bearers. Out of 240 voters, 19 had remained absent in the voting.
