Leader Nepal stresses negotiations to address judiciary row

JANAKPUR: CPN-Unified Socialist Chair and former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal has said the current dispute in judiciary should be resolved through negotiations.

Talking to media persons briefly at Janakpur Airport today, the leader was of the view that dialogues were the appropriate means of finding a solution to every problem. Delay in addressing the issue had sent a negative message to the public, he said, adding that discussion about the topic was held already with the Prime Minister.

He was hopeful that the issue would be sorted out soon. As he argued, the existing five-party political alliance would go on till the upcoming election and an agreement had already been reached to have an alliance in the upcoming National Assembly (NA) elections.

“Discussions are regular for giving continuity to the alliance in the House of Representatives, Province Assembly and the Local Level elections as well,” he reiterated. According to him, it would be better to hold the three-tier election simultaneously to reduce the election cost.
