Madhav Nepal hastened to open a new party: Yogesh Bhattarai



KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Secretary Yogesh Kumar Bhattarai has opined that leader Madhav Kumar Nepal’s decision to open the party an ill timed one.

Speaker to the reporters after coming out from the meeting with party Chairman KP Oli at the latter’s residence in Balkot Bhaktapur, Bhattarai mentioned leader Nepal’s decision to open a new party as untimely.

“At a time when we are talking about the unity with the faction led by leader Nepal, I do not want to talk much against him,” Bhattarai said, adding, “However, the decision d to open a new party was against the mandate of the central committee; and it was taken without discussing with the team of the party’s standing committee.”

He further said that the action taken against the leaders would automatically be withdrawn once the disgruntled group joins the party again.
