Nepal records 2,421 new COVID-19 cases, 52 deaths in last 24 hours

Kathmandu Valley witnesses 497 fresh COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 2,421 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 1,511 persons have tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 910 have tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 346 persons in Kathmandu, 94 in Lalitpur, and 57 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for the pandemic virus, making the capital valley’s fresh coronavirus cases 497 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry, 52 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. But, the ministry has adjusted the death toll including 29 new deaths, who succumbed to coronavirus on various dates. With this, the ministry has recorded 81 deaths in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 3,558 persons have returned home after a complete health recovery from COVID-19.
