Nepal records 7,914 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 7,914 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 7,598  persons have tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 316 have been tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 1,761 persons in Kathmandu, 694 in Lalitpur, and 366 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for the pandemic virus, making the capital valley’s fresh coronavirus cases 2,281 in past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 7,664 persons have returned home after complete health recovery from COVID-19.

According to the Ministry, 193 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
