TU to conduct postponed exams by August

KATHMANDU: Tribhuvan University (TU) has decided to conduct all the remaining examinations, previously postponed or affected due to wide-spreading COVID 19 pandemic, by August.

According to sources, officials of the university held discussion Sunday and decided to conduct all the examinations, which were either suspended during the operation or affected due to coronavirus outbreak, within August.

Citing that the students of annual examination systems are affected the most due to the pandemic, the oldest university of the country has decided to conduct the exam.

“We will start the preparation for the examination from today and will complete it by August as it is too late to conduct the graduation examination,” Controller of Examinations Pushpa Raj Joshi said, adding, “We are also preparing to issue information to the students to prepare for this.”

He added that the university has not decided on the modality of the examination; however, attention will be paid to make students appear from the center near their residence.

Although the discussion on conducting the online exam were also there, the idea was dismissed citing it is not convenient for the majority of students.
