Missing press releases reappear on President’s Office website

KATHMANDU: The press releases uploaded last week — missing from the President’s Office website — have reappeared.

The President’s Office had asked the website developers as to how did the statements that were uploaded on the President’s Office’s website https://president.gov.np/, go missing.

According to Rup Narayan Bhattarai, Spokesman at the President’s Office, it happened due to a minor technical error.

The Office of the President had earlier said it had initiated an investigation into what it said: “sudden disappearance” of press releases uploaded to the President’s Office website after the second week of May.

Statements uploaded on the President’s Office website https://president.gov.np/ about the dissolution of the House of Representatives and the date of the new election were missing.

The statements uploaded on the website at 1:48 pm on Saturday on the House dissolution and the date of the next general election to the House of Representatives had gone missing from the site.
