Kathmandu Valley sees 940 fresh COVID-19 cases

KATHMANDU: As many as 940 persons have been infected with COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry, 760 persons in Kathmandu, 106 in Lalitpur, and 741in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for the pandemic virus, as of Friday afternoon.

Meanwhile, Nepal recorded a total of  2,559 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 2,449 persons have been tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 110 have been tested positive through the Antigen method.

Meanwhile, 410 persons have returned home after complete health recovery today.

Similarly, the ministry shared that five more fatalities were reported in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 3,122.
