UML strips four provincial lawmakers of party memberships

KATHMANDU: A meeting of the general convention organizing committee of the ruling CPN-UML has decided to take actions against its four provincial members of Karnali Province.

The meeting held at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwata today took actions against them stripping them of party memberships for crossing the floor against the party-line.

Those facing actions are Prakash Jwala, Amar Bahadur Thapa, Nanda Singh Budha and Kurma Raj Shahi.

The party said it will seek further clarification from Devi Ojha since she admitted that she crossed the floor mistakenly.
