JANAKPUR: Province 2 Governor Dr. Rajesh Ahiraj has meet with civil society leader Bharat Bimal in the province Tuesday.
Bimal is one those less-known civil society leaders who played a crucial role during the People’s Movement in 2006/07.
Province 2 Chief Ahiraj routinely meets civil society leaders as he believes popular sovereignty is the foundation of democracy.
Bimal was elated after Province 2 Chief Ahiraj visited him at his doorstep.
The civil society leader said this was the first time that any high-ranking official had paid a visit to him.
