Possibility of rain with thunder and lightning in some places



KATHMANDU: The weather will be partly to generally cloudy in most parts of the country with chances of light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in some places of the hilly region Tuesday.

This is due to the influence of the Westerly wind and the local wind as well, the Meteorological Forecasting Division stated.

Meteorologist Pratibha Manandhar said it would be partly to generally cloudy in the hilly region with chances of light rain along with thunder and lightning towards the afternoon.

However, there are no chances of heavy rainfall as the Westerly is weak.

According to her, the weather will be partly to generally cloudy in most places of the country for two or three more days.

It is partly to generally cloudy in the hilly region and partly cloudy in the rest of the regions at present. There is the possibility of light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning occurring in Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces and at some places in the hilly region of the remaining provinces.

As per the weather update shared by the Division, Kathmandu Valley recorded a minimum temperature of 11.2 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 28.0 degrees Celsius in the last 24 hours.

Likewise, the lowest minimum temperature of 2.7 degrees Celsius was recorded in Jumla and the highest of 36.2 degrees Celsius in Bhairahawa.
