PM Oli holds discussion with heads of all four security agencies



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli held discussions with the heads of all four security agencies after the Supreme Court (SC) gave its verdict to reinstate the House of Representatives (HoR).

Prime Minister Oli held discussions with the Chief of Army Staff, Inspector General of Nepal Police, Inspector General of Armed Police and Chief of the National Investigation Department at PM’s residence in Baluwatar Tuesday evening.

According to a source, Prime Minister Oli called the four security chiefs to Baluwatar to take stock of the situation after the SC’s verdict to reinstate the HoR.

Earlier on Tuesday morning, Prime Minister Oli convened a meeting of the Security Council.

The meeting discussed the latest security situation. Despite convening a meeting of the Security Council in the morning, the meeting held in the evening has been considered meaningful.

Prime Minister Oli had dissolved the House of Representatives on December 20 and announced the date of the election in two phases on April 30 and May 10 following internal disputes within the party.

The Supreme Court decided to reinstate the House of Representatives this evening.
