Ex-PM Bhattarai admitted to hospital in New Delhi

KATHMANDU: Former Prime Minister and Federal Council Chairman of Janata Samajbadi Party, Dr. Baburam Bhattarai, has been admitted to the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences in New Delhi for treatment.

According to Bhattarai’s Press Advisor Bishwadeep Pandey, he got admitted at 9 am on Tuesday morning.

He will remain at the hospital today until all necessary tests are conducted, Pandey added.

Bhattarai had left for New Delhi via Nepal Airlines on Sunday.

He had been undergoing medical examination and treatment of stomach problems at Nidan Hospital in Kathmandu for a long time.

Bhattarai is accompanied by his spouse Hisila Yami and Press Advisor Pandey. While staying in Delhi for treatment, Bhattarai is living at the Nepali Embassy in Delhi.
