Vaccine storage house to be constructed at eight places

KATHMANDU: The government has accelerated the construction of COVID-19 vaccine Storage House in eight different locations of the country.

The Ministry of Urban Development has forwarded construction of a storage house each in all the seven provinces and one at the central level for safe and appropriate management of the vaccine.

The storage house is going to be constructed at Biratnagar of province no 1, at Janakpur in province 2, at Hetauda of Bagmati province, at Kaski of Gandaki province, at Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City-12 of Lumbini province, at Surkhet of Karnali province and at Dhangadhi of Sudurpaschim province.

Similarly, the central storage house is to be constructed in the premises of Pathalaiya Medical Store.

Health Building Division Chief of Department of Urban Development and Building Construction under the Ministry, Saroj Poudel, said that Rs 96 million would be invested to construct the storage houses. RSS
