PM Cup: APF enters semifinals with three straight wins



KATHMANDU: The departmental team Armed Police Force (APF) has entered the semifinals of the Prime Minister Cup Men’s National Cricket Tournament in Kathmandu winning Saturday’s match.

In the Group ‘A’ match, APF reached the semifinals by defeating Karnali Province by 71 runs.

Tribhuvan Army has already reached the semifinals by winning three games in a row.

Although Army and APF have equal six points, APF is in the top position on the basis of net run rate. Now, the winner and runner-up of Group ‘A’ will be decided from Monday’s match between Army and APF.

Following the APF’s target of 219 runs at the Kirtipur-based TU Cricket Ground, Karnali lost all their wickets in 43.2 overs managing to score only 147 runs.
