First meeting of MCC Study Task Force held in Dallu

KATHMANDU: The first meeting of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) study task force formed by the ruling alliance has been held at Dallu on Wednesday.

The meeting held at the residence of Unified Socialist Party senior leader Jhala Nath Khanal, coordinator of the task force, discussed the pros and cons of the MCC, a source close to Khanal said.

A meeting of the ruling party had earlier this week formed a task force led by Khanal comprising Nepali Congress leader and Communications Minister Gyanendra Bahadur Karki and Maoist Center leader Narayan Kaji Shrestha.

The task force has been entrusted to suggest to the government on whether it should be ratified without making amendments or should be amended.
