One more case of Omicron variant confirmed in Nepal



KATHMANDU: Nepal has seen one more case of Omicron variant of coronavirus of late.

According to Dr. Sangita Mishra, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Health and Population, a nonagenarian has been diagnosed with Omicron variant.

She informed that the 98-year-old man, who tested Omicron positive, is in home isolation.

Spokesperson Mishra added that the contact tracing of nonagenarian has also been carried out.

This is the third case of Omicron infection in Nepal.

Earlier, Nepal had confirmed Omicron variant cases in two persons on December 5.
