1533 delegates to attend Maoist Center’s National Conference



KATHMANDU: As many as 1533 delegates from all over the country are expected to attend the forthcoming National Conference of the CPN-Maoist Center.

According to Krishna Bahadur Mahara, the Spokesperson of the Maoist Center, 1533 delegates elected from various parts of the country will attend the first national conference of the party to kick off on 26 December.

Maoist Center has scheduled its conference for December 26-28.

According to Mahara, the province committees of the party will send 803 representatives to attend the national conference. In addition to province representatives there will be 179 people from the organizers and 149 from the advisors.

Maoist Center will have 27 central delegates.

Similarly, there will be 125 delegates from the Senior Communist Forum. There will be 102 representatives from the party’s central department and 75 representatives from various commission.

Mahara informed that the party has not invited any national or international guests from other political parties as it is merely a national conference.

Maoist Center has stated that it will discourage extravagance and will not make the conference a pompous show.

The party will set up welcome gates at the entrances of Bhaktapur, Lalitpur and Kathmandu though. The party is planning to paste some posters in major centers of the valley.
