Prachanda in dilemma: Accept UML’s invitation or not?

Says will decide after discussion in the party

KATHMANDU: CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has revealed that he has been invited as a speaker at the CPN-UML’s 10th General Convention; however he has not decided whether to accept the invitation or not yet.

Addressing the party cadres’ special workshop in Chitwan on Monday, Prachanda alleged that UML has organized the General Convention in Chitwan to weaken his influence and his party’s position there.

The Maoist Center Chairman predicted that UML convention will be the congress of UML Chairman Oli’s ‘Yes men’ rather than being a mega event of the party.

“There is no political ideology, no space for differing opinions, the 10th General Convention will be merely a congress of UML Chairman Oli’s yes men,” Prachanda said.

He also claimed that UML convention will not have the power to weaken CPN-Maoist Center’s position in the district.
