NC leader Dr Khadka appointed Foreign Minister; to fly to New York today



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has appointed NC leader Dr Narayan Khadka as Foreign Minister.

Prime Minister Deuba’s personal secretary Bhanu Deuba informed Khabarhub that a letter has been sent to the President with information that Khadka has been appointed as the Foreign Minister.

On the recommendation of the Prime Minister, the Office of the President will make public the letter of appointment in a while. A swearing-in ceremony will be organized soon. Following the oath-taking ceremony, Khadka will go to Singha Durbar to take charge of the office.

Newly appointed Minister Khadka is scheduled to fly to New York today itself to take part in the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

Prime Minister Deuba appointed Dr. Khadka as the Foreign Minister following consultation with the ruling coalition parties.
