To dwell on ministers selection, 14th Gen Convention

KATHMANDU: An office-bearer meeting of the ruling Nepali Congress (NC) is taking place today. The meeting will take place at party President Sher Bahadur Deuba’s residence in Budhanilkantha at 3 pm.

The meeting has been called to dwell on the selection of the ministers to participate in the cabinet and the 14th General Convention of the party, a leader close to Deuba said.

Prime Minister Deuba is making preparations to appoint NC leader Dr Narayan Khadka as the Foreign Minister, according to Baluwatar sources.

A meeting of the ruling coalition had decided to appoint Khadka as Foreign Minister in view of the need to participate in the UN General Assembly.

Dr. Khadka will be sworn in on Wednesday, the source said.
