Three members of a family killed after landslide buries house in Gulmi

GULMI: Three members of a family have died after their house was buried by a landslide in the district at the wee hours on Wednesday.

The deceased have been identified as 21-year-old Bhawana Pariyar and 14-year-old twins Ganga and Jamuna said DSP Purusottam Pandey of District Police Office, Gulmi.

They are the daughters of Tilak Pariyar, a local of Resunga municipality-8.

The incident occurred when they were sleeping at the wee hours on Wednesday, according to Pandey. The bodies have been retrieved by locals, Nepali Army, Nepal Police from the incident site, said police.

Their bodies have been kept at Gulmi District Hospital for postmortem. Tilak Pariyar, her wife and another daughter are safe.
They are taking shelter in their neighbor’s house, said DPO, Gulmi.
