KATHMANDU: District presidents of the ruling Nepali Congress (NC) have demanded that the party leadership make public the list of all active members of the party.
On behalf of the district presidents, Kavre district president of the party, Madhu Acharya, urged party central president to correct the distribution of party active membership by investigating into it in line with party statute and norms.
The district presidents also called for the amendment of the election directive in order to ensure uniformity in the election of all district presidents. The central working committee (CWC) meeting of the party held on August 14 had endorsed the report of the investigation committee on central active membership.
Although the committee had decided to finalize the remaining dispute and submit the report to the President on August 19, it failed to meet the deadline.
