Shital Niwas strikes ruthless blow against Constitution: UML leader Nepal

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML senior leader Madhav Nepal has said the House of Representatives (HoR) has been dissolved yet again at the vested interest and incitement of some conspirators.

“Shital Niwas has ruthlessly struck a blow against the very spirit of the Constitution,” leader Nepal said in a Facebook message, terming it Regression Part II.

Meanwhile, Nepal has condemned the President’s move to dissolve the House on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, calling for a unity and solidarity to fight against this regression.

President Bhandari has dissolved the House of Representatives on the recommendation of the Prime Minister and announced the mid-term elections for November 12 and 19, a year ahead of schedule.

Issuing a statement, the President’s Office said the President dissolved the House as per Article 76(7) of the Constitution on the recommendation of the cabinet.
