Minister Gurung sends ‘Home Isolation Kit’ to Dolakha



KATHMANDU: Minister for Communications and Information Technology Parbat Gurung has sent ‘Home Isolation Kit’ to Dolakha district for Covid-19 patients to avail treatment at home in the initial stage of contracting the coronavirus.

Minister Gurung who was elected member of the House of Representatives from Dolakha district sent the kits in coordination with Dolakha Health Foundation.

Minister Gurung shared, “The kits will be provided to the Covid-19 patients via people’s representatives and health workers. The kits were sent as per the requisition made by the local units.”

The Foundation was established at the initiation of Minister Gurung in a view of providing treatment to the Covid-19 patients at their own home since the hospitals and Covid-19 special hospitals were overloaded with the patients. The Foundation also provides counseling services to those suspected to have contracted the flu-like infection and to those infected with Coronavirus as well as to facilitate the patients in their treatment if need be.

On the occasion, Minister Gurung extended thankfulness to all the frontline health workers, security personnel, local representatives, media persons and civil society representatives for their support to the government in fighting the pandemic. He reaffirmed his commitment to ensure health security for the Dolakha folks at the time of health crisis like this.
