Kathmandu Valley sees 1,174 fresh COVID-19 cases

KATHMANDU: As many as 1, 174 persons have been infected with COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry, 987 persons in Kathmandu, 108 in Lalitpur, and 841in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for the pandemic virus, as of Thursday afternoon.

Meanwhile, Nepal recorded a total of  2,428 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 2,365 persons have been tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 63 have been tested positive through the Antigen method.

Meanwhile, 252 persons have returned home after complete health recovery today.

Similarly, the ministry shared that five more fatalities were reported in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 3,117.
