Six injured as cooking gas cylinder goes off in Bhaktapur



BHAKTAPUR: Six people including a proprietor sustained injuries after a cooking gas cylinder went up at a momo outlet in Srijananagar of Suryabinayak municipality-5 on Sunday evening.

According to Metropolitan Police Range, Bhaktapur, proprietor Tikaram Basnet, 39, of Sailung rural municipality-6, Dolakha, currently staying at Suryabinayak-4, Dadhikot, his relative Rajendra Karki, 33, of Kathmandu, Koteshwor, and Gita Karki, 39 were injured in the incident.

Also injured in the incident are customers Aditya Subedi, 19, of Bishwoshanti rural municipality-2, Jhapa, currently staying at Sallaghari, Bhaktapur, Bikash Paudel, and Himangshu Thapa, 16 of Suryabinayak-5, Bhaktapur, Katunje.

The injured have been referred to Kirtipur Burn Center Hospital after preliminary treatment at Dr. Iwamura Hospital, Sallaghari, said police.
