India confirms 13,980 new COVID-19 cases; 79 deaths



NEW DELHI: India recorded 13,980 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, taking the caseload to 11,005,071.

Currently, 151,639 are undergoing treatment at various isolation centers and hospitals. Meanwhile, 10,697,014 have returned home after treatment.

Similarly, the number of deaths from the coronavirus in India has crossed the 156,400-mark.

With 79 deaths in a single day, the number of deaths from the virus has reached 156,418, according to the latest figures by Worldometers.
