Chief of Army Staff Thapa instructs to be ready for security challenges



KATHMANDU: Chief of Army Staff Purna Chandra Thapa has directed the top officials to be ready for the security challenges that may arise from the current situation in the country.

He gave such instructions during a concluding ceremony of the Higher Command and Management training that was held at Nepal Army (NA) War College.

Thapa directed to carry the responsibility given by the constitution while closely monitoring the security challenges.

Stating that the army is always ready to fulfill its constitutional responsibilities, he said that the army would be developed as an institution based on system and method.

NA Chief Thapa said that everyone should be honest and creative to face the present and future challenges while institutionalizing the achievements of the past.

He said that the national defense policy, national defense, and national military strategy are also important guidelines for the army.
