 Valley records 3.5 degree; mercury to gradually dip further



KATHMANDU: The temperature of the Kathmandu Valley has been recorded at 3.5 degree Celsius this morning. The temperature with 3.5 degree Celsius was recorded at 6 am today, said Raju Pradhanang, a meteorologist.

The temperature will rise between 18 to 20 degree Celsius during the day today, according to Pradhanang.

Currently, the visibility of the Valley is 4,000 meters while the 1,500 meters visibility is necessary for flight landing and take-off.

Pradhanang said the temperature will keep going down gradually for the next few days.

Currently, the weather is partly cloudy in the hilly region of the country and it will continue throughout the day. It will remain fair in the rest of the county.

Some parts of Terai are covered in thick fogs and clouds this morning and will fade gradually in the afternoon, according to Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD).

The weather will be partly to generally cloudy in Sudurpaschim, Karnali Pradesh, Pradesh 1, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini Pradesh tonight.
