NC 14th Gen Convention: Results of nine central members towards Madhesi cluster announced



KATHMANDU: The final results of the election of Nepali Congress nine central members towards the Madhesi cluster held under the Nepali Congress 14th General Convention have been announced.

As per the results, Ajay Chaurasiya (2,522 votes), Binod Chaudhary (2,206), Chandra Mohan Yadav (2,138), Mahendra Kumar Ray (1,984), Dinesh Kumar Yadav (1,959) finished the race with highest votes to get elected on the five open posts under the Madhesi cluster, said election committee secretary Jagannath Shrestha.

Newly elected central member Chaudhary is a noted industrialist while Chandra Mohan is the son of the first President of Nepal, Dr Ram Baran Yadav.

Similarly, Mukta Kumari Yadav (3,969), Minakshi Jha (3,012), Manju Kumari Yadav (2,883), ad Nagina Yadav (2,846) have been elected towards the women quota.

So far election results of 72 posts, out of 134 including office bearers, have been announced.

The results of 62 central members towards inclusion are expected to come by Wednesday.
