 Student who fell unconscious at college’s bathroom dies in course of treatment



KATHMANDU: A student who fell unconscious while bathing in a bathroom of Bagbazaar-based Kathmandu Model College has passed away in the course of treatment.

The kin of the deceased have been staging demonstration alleging that the student died due to the negligence of the school administration.

According to Dinesh Mainali, the spokesperson of Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu, a negotiation between the kin of the deceased and the school administration is taking place, currently.

Sushil Sahani, 18, of Gadhimai municipality, Rautahat, had been found unconscious in the bathroom of the hostel of the college on Monday.

Critically injured Sahani died in the course of treatment at Kathmandu Model Hospital. He was the 12th grader at Kathmandu Model College.

According to Mainali, Sahani fell unconscious while taking bath in the bathroom where a gas geyser had been installed.
