88 delegates selected for the Maoist Central National Conference from Karnali

SIMKOT: As many as 88 delegates have been selected from Karnali for the National Conference of the CPN-Maoist Center.

Representatives have been selected for the national conference on the basis of party members by district.

The National Conference of the Maoist Center is starting in the capital on December 26.

According to Bijay Bhandari, central member of the UCPN-M and Humla district in-charge, 88 candidates have been selected for the national conference from ten districts of Karnali.

He said that the number was selected on the basis of district membership number and constituency of the federal parliament.

Bhandari added that according to the circular of the Maoist Center headquarter, one representative equal to 1,500 members and two representatives from each constituency of the federal parliament have been elected.

According to him, out of ten districts of Karnali, 15 candidates have been selected from Rukum West.

At least three candidates have been selected from Dolpa.

Similarly, 10 delegates from Surkhet and Jajarkot, 5 delegates from Mugu and 11 delegates from Salyan and Kalikot will participate in the national conference.

Central Member Bhandari informed that 7 National Conference delegates each have been selected from Dailekh, Jumla and Humla.
