Indian police nabs smuggling racket leader involved in attack on APF

KAILALI: Indian police have arrested an Indian smuggler who attacked the Armed Police Force in patrol in Kanchanpur.

On Monday night, a gang of smugglers from India had attacked the patrol team of Armed Police Force at Dodhara-Chandani-8, Kanchanpur on the Nepal-India border.

According to the Ram Prasad Pandey, the Chief District Officer of Kanchanpur, the leader of the assaulting gang Arjun Kumar has been arrested by the Indian police.

“Indian police have arrested him and have forwarded action against him,” Pandey said.

During a patrol to curb smuggling in the border area, Indian smugglers including Kumar had attacked the Armed Police Force. Three armed policemen were injured in the attack.
