NEPSE increases by 13.83 points



KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange Ltd (NEPSE) has increased by 13.83 points on Tuesday.

With today’s increment, the index has reached 2712.07 points.

A total of 15.30 million shares of 223 companies traded today resulting in a turnover of Rs 7.36 billion.

Investors of Manakamana Smart Microfinance Company have earned the most in the rising market on Tuesday. The company’s share price has risen by Rs 98.90. In the second place, the share price of Ruru Hydropower has increased by Rs 67.  Similarly, the share price of the Nepal Infrastructure Bank has increased by Rs 17. The company announced an 8.5 percent cash dividend today.

Shares of banks, hotels, development banks, hydropower, insurance, microfinance, and other groups have increased today. There were fluctuations in Nepse throughout the day. In the first 27 minutes of trading, Nepse had dropped by 82 points and come down to  2616 points.

However, Nepse, which had increased by 68 points at 11:57 a.m., fell by 31 points again. After that, Nepse, which started rising slowly, increased by about 14 points at the time of closing.

Today, the transaction amount has also increased. The highest number of shares of Arun Valley Hydro worth Rs 254.4 million has been bought and sold. Today, Manakamana Smart Microfinance’s share increased the most by 10 percent. Likewise, shares of Excel Development Bank and Janaki Finance decreased by  3.5 percent.
