Police nab a fraud entrepreneur in Parsa

BIRGUNJ: Police have arrested a spice entrepreneur from Parsa on charge of selling local spices by pasting stickers of BMP Spices.

According to Parsa Police Spokesperson DSP Om Prakash Khanal, Rohit Sah Kanu, a resident of Birgunj Metropolitan City-8 has been arrested for affixing trademarks and designer labels of BMP spices industry on the spices of Annapurna Spice Industry and distributing them in Birgunj metropolis and other places.

DSP Khanal informed that the police recovered 654 bags of spices, 10 bags of raw materials and a spice grinding machine and trademarks and designer labels of BMC Spices Industry from Kanu’s store.

The police are investigating on Kanu and his activities getting five days remand against him.

According to police, Kanu will be sued under the Copyright Act 2002.
