Unified Socialist holding Central Committee meeting today

To dwell on future course of action



KATHMANDU: The CPN-Unified Socialist, led by Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal, is holding a meeting of its Central Committee (CC) today.

Unified Socialist leader Jagannath Khatiwada informed the CC meeting would take place at the Quality Banquet in Buddhanagar at 2 pm today.

The Unified Socialist that split from the CPN-UML and led by Madhav Kumar Nepal called the meeting to discuss political development and current issues.

“The meeting will discuss the party’s future course of action, among other issues,” party leader Ram Kumari Jhankri said.

The meeting is going to be held for the first time.

Central Committee member Dilu Kumari Pant said that a discussion would be held on various issues including contemporary political scenario and necessary strategy to expand party organization across the nation in the two-day meeting.

Similarly, the meeting would also discuss on formation of different departments and sister organizations of the party, formation of commissions, expansion, the role of the party to be played in order to make the government successful, participation of the party in the government and nation-wide campaign for the promotion of the political organization.

There would be the participation of 113 central committee members in the meeting. The party has formed a working committee in 55 districts so far.

The party was established under the leadership of Madhav Kumar Nepal around one month ago after splitting from the CPN-UML.
