KATHMANDU: Journalist Siddha Raj Rai has been appointed as the General Manager of Rastriya Samachar Samiti – the national news agency.
A cabinet meeting held at the PM’s residence in Baluwatar Monday decided to appoint Rai as general manager. Rai was former central member of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) and Press Chautari Nepal.
Rai was chosen to be appointed from three proposed candidates to the post.
After working in Dhankuta for long, Rai has been involved in journalism in the capital Kathmandu for the past five years.
