Nursing Association Dissatisfied at district court’s decision to release culprits on bail

BANKE: The Banke Nursing Association is preparing to appeal after the District Court, Banke, released the people who assaulted the health workers in Bheri Hospital on bail.

Some attendants of coronavirus patient in a Bheri Provincial Hospital had attacked the doctors and nurses on duty after the patient died.

The nurses had saved their lives jumping off the windows from a toilet.

The perpetrators being the cadres of ruling CPN-UML, the administration had shown indifference in taking them under control; however, owing to the pressure from all sectors, the administration had taken the alleged under control.

Although a case of attempted murder was registered against the attackers, the district court had released them on Rs. 50,000 bail each.

A single bench of Banke District Court Judge Shyam Sundar Adhikari released Man Bahadur Rawat, Bharat Rawat and Lok Bahadur Rawat, the alleged on Sunday.
