Finance Ministry provides Rs 178.7 million to 13 hospitals for managing oxygen plant, HDU

KATHMANDU: The government has released Rs 178 million 770 thousand to various 13 hospitals for installing oxygen plants and HDU.

Accordingly, Rs 20 million has been released for Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital, Rs 51 million 270 thousand for Jumla-based Karnali Academy of Health Sciences, Rs 15.5 million for Charikot Hospital, Rs 8 million for Jiri Hospital, Rs 7.5 million for Bajura Hospital, and Rs 15.5 million for Bajhang Hospital.

Similarly, the Ministry of Finance said, Rs 8 million has been released for Doti Hospital and Rs 7.5 million each for Achham Hospital, Solukhumbu Hospital, Khotang Hospital, Taplejung Hospital, and Surya Binayak Hospital.

Likewise, Rs 15.5 million each has been released for Madan Bhandari Hospital and Trauma Centre.

Before this, the government had provided Rs 2 billion 952 million to 26 central hospitals and nine provincial hospitals to manage ventilators, oxygen plants, and oxygen cylinders.

The Ministry said that the money has been provided to hospitals and health institutions in line with the government’s policy of adopting all necessary measures for the prevention and control of COVID-19 and treatment of the infected people.RSS
