UML leader Nepal asks President how his signature turned in favor of PM Oli

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal has questioned President Bidhya Devi Bhandari how his signature reached the President’s Office in favor of Prime Minister KP Oli when he (Nepal) had been there with the opposition alliance.

According to sources, the disgruntled senior leader of UML complained that his signature was forged by PM Oli faction.

Leader Nepal, who reached Sheetal Niwas Friday with the signatures of 149 lawmakers to make Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba the Prime Minister, questioned how his name had already come in another list in front of the President at Shital Niwas today.

Sources claim that the President did not answer to that.

While handing over the signatures, CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ urged the President to proceed in accordance with the constitution.

Leader Nepal also urged the President to exercise her constitutional rights.
