Meeting of opposition leaders underway at Singha Durbar

Opposition parties also discussing impeaching President



KATHMANDU: A meeting of the opposition parties is underway at the Nepali Congress Parliamentary Party office in Singha Durbar.

Chairman of the CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda”, Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) Chairman Upendra Yadav, Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, and CPN-UML senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal are holding talks on the current political situation.

According to sources, opposition parties are also discussing impeachment against the President.

Likewise, Maoist Center leaders Barsha Man Pun and Dev Gurung and JSP leader Isthiyak Rai are also at the meeting venue. Prachanda reached the NC Parliament Party office soon after holding an informal meeting with the leaders of his party at the party office in Parisdanda.

CPN-UML senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal has already reached for the meeting. UML lawmaker Ram Kumari Jhankri, close to Nepal faction, earlier said the party faction’s meeting discussed mass resignations as well.

Meanwhile, the Nepali Congress instructed its lawmakers to be present at the party office at the earliest.
