UML ready to stay in opposition: UML leader Basnet

KATHMANDU: The House of Representatives (HoR) member and former Minister Mahesh Basnet said that the CPN (UML) was ready to stay in the opposition.

UML central member Basnet urged the opposition parties to forge majority votes against the incumbent government rather than commenting against the President and the Prime Minister. He added that President’s call for the next government following Article 76 (5) was as per the constitutional mandate.

Basnet said if a majority was forged by the opposition parties, then there will be no problem for UML to stay in opposition.
