PM Oli challenges opposition parties to oust him and form a new government



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli has challenged the opposition parties to form a new government by ousting him.

Prime Minister Oli is ready to sit in the opposition and provide constructive support to the government.

“I happily welcome the formation of an alternative government,” PM Oli told reporters in Baluwatar on Friday.

PM Oli also said that he telephoned Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba and urged him to form a national government.

“This morning I called Deuba and asked him to form the government. If not, I asked him to join my government to give it a national shape.”

Prime Minister Oli added said that the parliament would not be dissolved if the opposition parties supported him.

“If you can’t form a new government, support me,” he urged the opposition parties adding, “Did I ever said I will dissolve the parliament?”

He urged the opposition parties to support him to form a national government and jointly combat the CONVID-19 pandemic.
