Maoist Center entrusts Prachanda with decision-making power on withdrawal of support

KATHMANDU: The CPN (Maoist Center) has entrusted party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” to decide whether to withdraw the party’s support to the government led by Prime Minister KP Oli or not.

A Standing Committee meeting held at Parisdanda on Wednesday entrusted Prachanda the right to decide when should the party withdraw its support to the government.

Party leader Narayan Kaji Shrestha told reporters that Wednesday’s meeting has authorized Prachanda to take a decision on withdrawing its support to the government.

Likewise, Wednesday’s meeting also decided to expedite talks with other parties to form a new government.

The Maoist Center has been hell-bent on toppling the government led by Prime Minister Oli.
