SC meeting of Nepal-Khanal faction underway in Buddhanagar



KATHMANDU: The Standing Committee (SC)meeting of Madhav Kumar Nepal and Jhala Nath Khanal faction of the CPN-UML is underway in Buddhanagar Wednesday afternoon.

The SC meeting is being held to devise the faction’s strategy for the coming days.

The faction also held a meeting of lawmakers, close to it, yesterday following the UML establishment decision to seek clarification from 27 federal lawmakers of the faction, alleging they are trying to split the party.

The meeting of lawmakers yesterday decided to respond to the establishment faction by saying they had not formed another party.

The faction also today decided to move to the Supreme Court (SC) against Prime Minister KP Oli led establishment faction decision to seek clarification.
