Deuba has failed to take firm stance on House reinstatement: NC Senior leader Poudel



SUNSARI: Senior leader of Nepali Congress (NC) Ram Chandra Poudel has alleged party President Sher Bahadur Deuba for failing to take a firm stance on the reinstatement of the House of Representatives (HoR).

Talking to journalists in Sunsari on Sunday, Poudel alleged Deuba for ignoring his proposals that he had made during the party’s central committee held held last week .

Poudel had been reiterating that the party should take a decision to reinstate the HoR.

NC senior leader Poudel has also been emphazing that NC should pressurize on revocation of the appointments made at the constitutional bodies.

“I have been repeatedly saying that reinstatemement of the HoR is the best solution to end the current impasse,” Poudeltold reporters adding that this would only protect the constitution and democracy.

Poudel also said that Prime Minister KP Oli and President Bidya Devi Bhandari have breached the Constitution by dissolving the HoR adding, “The Supreme Court should interpret the Constitution.”
