NEPSE index up by 31.87 points



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index increased by 31.87 points on the last trading day of the week on Thursday.

The stock market closed at 2,374.64 points.

A total of 17.3 million shares were traded today, bringing the total transaction amount to Rs 7.39 billion. Out of the total traded companies, the shares of 136 companies have increased. Shares of 28 companies declined while those of 12 companies remained unchanged.

Out of the 12 sub-indices, all sub-indices except banking and mutual funds increased today. The non-life insurance sub-index increased the most by 4.94 percent.

The total market capitalization has increased to Rs 3.26 trillion.
